MASKS ARE REQUIRED WHEN ENTERING THE RECREATION POOL BUILDING AND WHEN UNABLE TO MAINTAIN 6' SOCIAL DISTANCE
Welcome to the 2020 Inc. Village of Floral Park Pool Season.
As many of our patrons may know, the pool staff is composed of a large number of college-age students. Every season beginning in mid-August, our dedicated employees start to return to college, or as is the case this year, embark on their remote learning undergraduate classes which takes up a significant portion of their day.
Every season, because of the significant number of employees who have educational commitments, their departure leaves us with a reduced staff to handle the many different jobs at the pool like maintenance duties, lifeguarding, and administrative functions. In fact, a number of our employees have already left for college.
Recognizing the fact that employees begin to leave for college in August, we must make adjustments to the pool’s operational hours every season.
However, we are happy to announce that there will still be two swimming sessions so our patrons can continue to enjoy the pool for the remaining weeks of summer.
The modified hours for the pool are as follows:
August 22nd to September 6th
First session: 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Second session: 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Labor Day, September 7th:
First session: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Second session: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
We will continue to clean and disinfect between sessions, following all local and state health guidelines.
Please note that you will still follow the same procedures for making reservations via the village website.
We thank you for a great season during a very difficult time, and we look forward to seeing you during the remaining weeks of summer.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call the pool at 326-6336.
To try our best to accommodate everyone due to the COVID-19 rules and 50% capacity limitiations at this time, there are two sessions per day. Each person will be allowed to sign up via online (this site) or by phone @ 516 326-6336 for up to three sessions per week (with only one session being on the weekend). Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to call the pool buiding or check online 2 hours after a session begins on any day to see if there is available capacity at the pool to come for that session (this will not count towards your 3 reservations). You must be a registered 2020 Pool member in order to access this site for reservations. If you have not registered for this year's pool season and would like to do so, you can visit the Recreation/Pool Building during hours of operations, to submit your applications, proof of residency and payment.
